Finda Green Davis

Director

Finda Green Davis is the Founder and Executive Director of Breaking Chains Children Foundation. In addition to leading Breaking Chains Children Foundation, Finda works as a Pricing Analyst with LSC Communication. Finda Green Davis was born in Bong Mines, Liberia West Africa. Seeking refuge from a war torn country, She migrated to the United States of America in 2003. With minimum fundamental educational background, Finda was placed in Batavia High School. Subsequent to graduating high school, Finda studied at Wabaunsee Community College for two years where she played soccer and worn multiple athletic awards. In the second year at Wabaunsee, Finda got admission into Spelman College where she completed her BA in Psychology; making her the first in her family to earn a college education. Remembering the adversity faced in her home and neighboring countries, immediately after completing college, Finda started Breaking Chains Children Foundation with the mission to help rebuild West Africa by empowering orphans and at-risk youth through education, sport, and human services. In 2020 She earned her MBA with Northern Illinois University. When not working, Finda enjoys gardening and spending time with her three sons. Finda is looking forward to taking Breaking Chains Children Foundation to the next level and changing more lives.

Andrew Wicklund

Board Member

Andrew Wicklund is the owner of PRC Software with offices in the USA, India, and Canada. Andrew has a Masters of Science in Technical Project Management from the University of Houston, Texas, USA. He created the PRC Cloud for project and risk management. Andrew spent most of his career consulting, conducting risk workshops, project controls, and training for Fortune 500 clients in construction, oil & gas, aerospace, defense, IT, pharmaceutical , etc. He is active with charities for the homeless population in the USA, building infrastructure in West Africa, and Children's Bone Cancer research.

Jason Maciejewski

Board Member

Jason is the Director of Sales for Val-Matic Valve & MFG, an industry leader of municipal water/wastewater valves. He has over 10 years of experience in this industry and is an active member of American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Young Professionals along with numerous other industry organizations. He was born and raised in Schaumburg, Illinois and graduated from University of Illinois in 2010 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and recently completed his MBA at Northern Illinois University in 2020. When not working, Jason enjoys spending time with his two daughters and enjoys staying active playing hockey and golf. He currently lives in Naperville and is excited to help make a difference with the Breaking Chains Children Foundation.

Latasha Hansbrough

Board Member

Is a Guru, the “Jack of all trades”. She started her Career working in the Logistics department at one of Chicago’s Premier printing companies, RR Donnelley and Sons. Her 18-year career boasts of her desire for advancement and knowledge as she moved through the ranks going from managing P&L’s, Operations Supervisor to A Pricing Analyst. All done while Developing emergent change by delivering actionable strategic analysis that led to having many successful career wins in Logistics which brags of a single RFP win Reaching 43MM. In October 2013, James Lemons, of Lemons Mechanical Inc. (LMI) Wanted to grow his business from a small “handy man” service and sought to partner with Latasha where she actively holds the position of Vice President, by 2015, she helped to grow the business by 865%. Not only winning a full allotment for CHA’s Section 3 Small business grant but was successfully able to bid and win public contracts. She earned Certification for the Business such as M/D/S/BE, Section 3 Certification. In 2016 she Co-founded HansWal Services Inc. with her sister, Monique Walker, which is also a W/M/D/BE Section 3 company. Through her commitment to excellence and a dedication to professionalism, Latasha Hansbrough has continued to exceed standards by forming strong professional partnerships based on integrity, ingenuity and reliability. These characteristics, along with her networking ability have enabled Latasha become recognized and respected names in Logistics.

Sophia Akpe

Sophia Mukasa-Akpe is a passionate innovative entrepreneur who is enthusiastic and committed to helping people around her. Being the co-founder/owner of Eventconcept Inc, she comes with extensive skills in managing, and organizing sensational events in the most efficient and cost-effective way. She is an expert at translating her rapport with clients into personalized events that showcase unique elements. Seeing the joy and lasting memories created from this is the reason why she loves working on events. Eventconcept Inc is a thriving event and deco company. In addition to starting Eventconcept, Sophia is currently an independent senior consultant with over 8 years of Epic, Cerner application, and training experience. Sophia is a natural leader and business professional who maintains an active role in her community development and serves as executive member of Residential Support Services. Sophia enjoys decorating and managing her twin’s social media account “the Akpe twin” as a hobby. She is looking forward to helping lead Breaking Chains Children foundation to the next level and impacting lives.

Jocelyn Hare

Board Member

Jocelyn Hare is the Operations Officer with Restoration Tools, a tool company produces tools specifically designed for the disaster restoration industry. She received her Master’s in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University and her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Sociology from Luther College. In addition to her business management skills, Jocelyn has extensive experience in fund development and non-profit management. As a passionate resident of Rockford, IL, she maintains active roles within the non-profit and philanthropic communities. Jocelyn is the current President of the Heritage Museum Park, comprised of the Ethnic Heritage Museum and Graham-Ginestra House, and the Past-President of the Rockford Network of Professional Women. In 2016, Jocelyn was selected as one of Rockford’s “40 Leaders Under 40”. Jocelyn was also awarded “Woman Leader of Tomorrow” by the Rockford Chamber in 2018.

Jonathan Davis

Jonathan P. Davis serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Breaking Chains Children Foundation. Born and raised in Liberia, West Africa, Jonathan Davis comes with over 15 years of work experience both in the international non-profit sector and corporate institutions as a supply chain professional, Jonathan has experience in management consultation, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and projects implementation. Jonathan has managed projects with IOM, Samaritan's Purse International Relief, Inmar Intelligence and Lawrence Merchandising Services. Jonathan holds an MBA from the University of Saint Francis, Joliet, IL and is currently an Operations Manager at Amazon. On his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, three sons and traveling.

Lisa Lawyer

Lisa Lawyer, MBA is an innovative marketing professional with nearly twenty years of experience building multi-channel marketing strategies across a variety of B2B and B2C companies. Lisa has a vast portfolio of consultative marketing experience in the following areas: branding, product marketing, media planning, marketing communication development, graphic design, copywriting, website development, trade show and event planning, internal communications, public relations, competitive analysis, survey marketing, experiential marketing, social media campaign development, retail advertising, and proposal development. Additionally, in her spare time, Lisa has taken on projects for miscellaneous non-profit organizations including the church she attends, a former Christian rock band and IIMPACT, a Chicago NPO dedicated to preparing inner city youth for their future career paths.

Sage Thompson

Sage is a Liberian-American Global Business Strategist with 15 years of experience working with clients in Europe, North America and Africa. His synergistic relationships building capabilities and his drive for results has given him access to boardrooms, trading floors and C- suites across three continents, including some of corporate America’s most extraordinary thought leaders and executives, hedge funds portfolio managers, management teams at Oil & Gas majors, private equity firms and Wall Street top performing strategists. Sage is a strategic and data driven thinker, an effective communicator who can explore unconventional approaches, and build the right relationships. He thrives on delivering purpose-driven strategies, identifying global trends and opportunities, whilst providing value-added insights to colleagues and clients. Sage’s passion for investments and delivering quality results evolved when he interned at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley respectively, while studying Business Finance & Marketing at the University of Houston. Mr. Thomson is the Managing Founder & Head of Africa Strategy at SeimatiQ Advisory — an intermediary firm with focus on syncing small emerging market companies and African Start- Ups with capital raising and investors. Additionally, he’s in current talks with a number of VC firms as he prepares to launch ‘Village Harvest Capital’ in Q3 2021, an Agribusiness focus venture fund in (West Africa, Liberia) – the aim of the fund is to deploy incremental capital to poor business farmers with growth potential, so as to move his People from subsistence agriculture to a more agrarian economy. Village Harvest Capital will focus heavily on ‘impact investments’ in communities and counties and not solely on the traditional commercial and nominal returns, whilst building value chains, value addition and financial inclusion for the unbanked agribusiness farmers.
